  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

End of the road for my Dunlops

I read your Michelin tire review in the separate thread you authored. Excellent! Thanks. My tires (Michelin Energy A/S) have only 15K miles so I have a long time before replacing them but when I do the Super Sports are on the list.

I have a 2009 4.6 tech, and up to a couple weeks ago I didn't have a bad opinion of the Dunlops or understand what everyone was griping about.....then they were rotated at 15K miles during routine service. OMG...the noise is horrendous. The tires actually ruin the car ride. I put another 1000 miles and have been hoping they wear down a tad and subdue the noise, but it's driving me nuts. I've never had this happen before in 25 years of driving. All I can say is that I can verify the noise problem that I never understood before. I'm almost to the point of having Hyundai put them back like they were and just get premature wear on them anyway. Either way I can't say they are going to last long on my car if this keeps up.
