Engine knocking tapping noise

2018 G90 46,000 miles has occasional knocking engine noise upon starting & idling that is becoming more regular. Dealership had it for 2 months, but Genesis "engineers" said it was normal. Anyone other G90 owners have this issue?

Yes I get the same problem spoke with dealer they said its common but to bring it in to make sure on my 2017 g90 3.3t

There's nothing normal about this. It's damn embarrassing to have a top of line G90 & everyone is asking: what's that noise, what's wrong with your car?

Yes. I have a 2018 G90 and I have a engine noise for about 30 seconds and it goes away. I took it to the dealer and they said it is normal. Just annoying.

After start up mine still does it, i just tap the accelerator & rev it up a bit & it goes away. I guess its comforting knowing its "normal".

It is normal on any VVT engine. Annoying and scary at first - but the computer is adjusting the valve timing of the car.

Yes I have the V6. Purchased at 18K miles now has about 29K and has done it since I owned it.
