  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Hello All,

I have a New (to me) 2022 G70 2.0.
There was some slight damage up underneath the front grille i didn't really think was an issue.
When going WAY too fast the air flow blew out what I think is called the Engine Splash Guard.
It's the fiberboard/plastic barrier under the front grille.

I had to rip/cut the front part out because most of the front was scraping the concrete.

I haven't taken it in yet. I'm curious if anyone knows what i'm in for?

Nice, thanks! That looks right.

It looks like i cut into the passenger side front wheel well guard also.
So, whatever that whole piece is too. sigh

It was getting pushed into the tire while driving by the force of air so it had to go in a pinch
Tie wrap probably would have saved me had i slowed down and checked my trunk/toolcase.

Previous owner probably hit a parking stop, or maybe worse (a curb). I'd get under the car and see what is damaged, and change it. And I'd also check the alignment, to make sure it's within specs. That's the risk of buying a used car. Hopefully that's the end of your issue. Good luck.

anybody got part numbers for that one and the one behind it with the oil filter housing cover? . hit a rock in the road and both got jacked. tried Oem parts online and cant find the damn part there at all. mines a 23.

edit found the part number on the rear item itself. discontinued as a genesis part. still available as a kia part tho. here 2022-2023 Kia Stinger Rear Deflector 29140-J5500 | OEM Parts Online

Am curious if you replaced the panel?
I’ve had issues with mine (2018 G80 3.3) and am debating removing the whole thing.

I have it in my garage ready to put on. Problem with removing it is that it ties the fender wells and bumper together. My passenger side fender well is now messed up

Are you sure? That doesn't sound right. They're still making the same car. Or at least it was the same up to '23 (like mine), before the engine change (2.0T to 2.5T). And yes, those parts are all tied together. I always remove it when changing the oil, to check everything around. And I have to reach super high into the fender well, to remove some push pins. And some others down low, also attached to the fender well. Fortunately, my car doesn't even have a scratch under the bumper, so all of that is perfect. But yes, I bought it new, right off the truck:p.
