Engine valve tapping 2012 Equus any suggestions

Equus (2011-2016)
Engine has a tapping sound can get very loud at times I've added engine oil 2 quiet it down a little bit saw something about hydraulic valves can anybody elaborate
 
For the EQUUS, more common reasons for engine tapping sounds are the chain tensioner or using a non-oem oil filter.
