  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

I received a call from Hub Hyundai that the Equus will be at the dealership this morning at 7:30! So will I !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Dang, I'm getting ready to head right past there, but not sure I'll have time to stop or not - but I'm going to try.

Thanks for posting

You guys are going to LOVE the Equus.....

The car was not for showing to the public but my salesman called the day before to say it would be there and it was!! I was allowed to do anything but drive it. The president of Huyndai and his people are here in Houston at the Four Seasons (where else!!). The car was at the dealership for only hours getting inspected. It was drop dead gorgeous, metallic gret with grey interior. I took 2 pictures but we have all seen pictures of it. In a few weeks there will be a black Equus for people to see. Mercedes S, BMW 7, and Lexus are in for a rough ride. They only expect to sell 1500 in this country. Make that 1499. I will have the other one!!

Well, I busted my butt and got there at about 8:30, only to find no Equus. WHO KNEW THERE ARE TWO HUB HYUNDAI'S in Houston? :(

I had google Hub and saw the one on Katy Freeway and had to be at Katy & highway 6 on business so I thought I had it made.

The good news is that as I showed up at the wrong one, the GM of the dealership was walking in and was a real nice guy. At least I got a good contact out of it. I've been blessed in knowing a lot of owners and GM's of dealers that I deal with - another contact at that level never hurts!

With all due respect, I'd like to ask that you not move these posts. I'm sure there is nobody who looks at the Equus section of the forum on a regular basis, and this sort of thing is very time sensitive. People in the Genesis section are the ones who are going to want to see the car.

Damn! I wish I had seen this, I live right between both Hub Hyundais. Just on a sidenote, HUB Hyundai has some of the worst customer service I have ever seen. I walked out on them twice, once after giving them a second chance to earn my business. Then I ended up buying my genesis from a different dealership. The GM (or salaried guy nearest to that) at the 290 location was a greaseball con artist who wanted me to make promises and sign things before even getting me a price on a car I wanted. When I told him no, he basically told me to get lost, so I did.

The dealership I ended up buying from basically tried to feed me from their own lunch, had my name over the loudspeaker and nearly every salesguy in the place shook my hand thanking me for buying a Genesis from them. Yes they were kissing my ass to get a sale, but thats what I expect when im spending 40 thousand dollars.

Hi, My experience was a lot different than yours. It was last Nov. and I don't think they knew they kneew much about the car. I got 4.6 with tech for $38500 plus tax, etc.. I see you are in your 20's and they probably did not take you seriusly!! There mistake. My recent service experiences have been quite good. I deal directly with the service manager "Bubba". With service I always start at the top. There is a big push from Hyundai to give the experience you had where you purchased your vehicle.

That is good to hear, I may bring my car in to them for servicing rather than sterling mccall because it is closer. I didn't really have a problem with their service guys. Age may have very well been a factor, and in that case it is their loss!
