OK, my buddy Dick and I went to Jenkins Hyundai this morning to view the Equus.
WOW. I'm impressed. Looks much better in person, than in the photos. In the past, I posted that I did not like the looks of the "creases" on the side of the car, however in person, IT LOOKS GREAT.
I knew it had the trunk lid that when down, closes by itself, however I learned that it also has doors that when closed to the safety latch, close by themselves. Neat. (My wife often "closes" the door, but not hard enough, then she has to reopen and close harder - with the Equus, as long as the door gets to the latch, it closes by itself). I watched while the back seat reclined. The rear seat headrests are power operated up/down. It had a DVD screen between the front seats, for the rear seat passengers to view. When looking in the engine compartment, it looks just like in the V8 Genesis, except everything else in the engine compartment is covered. Neat. The trunk is large. Did not have the rubber cover that my Genesis has, (probably an option) but it had an 18" x 18" box held by velcro that you can store "stuff" without it sliding around the trunk. The tires were 245/50/18 Hankook (sp). (at first, I thought they were 20" but took a second look, and they are 18")
The one thing I did not like was that only the back of the passenger seat had a wood grain table that folds out from behind the seat. The back of the driver seat has a pocket only. Looks strange seeing the wood grain on one side, and none on the other.
My wife says that I can get it for her for Christmas.

Told her that they are not yet for sale in the US, however when I make my second million, I will think of getting one. Until then, I am thinking of getting the top of the line 2011 Senata once they are introduced. (If I got the Equus, I'd keep that for myself, and leave the Genesis for her

)
OK, enough for now. Did I say I was impressed and like it?
