  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

I last test drove an Equus last winter. Nice car, but when I started asking questions about the Utimate, the salesperson was clueless. Before I drive a 2014, I'd like to spend an evening perusing the owner's manual. I understand that their is a downloadable manual for the I-Pad. Is there a link to download a manual to my PC?

I think its only downloadable to the IPAD. Yeah, a lot of the "certified" Equus trained individuals I have come across have been clueless. I have a 2014 Ultimate and if you ever have any questions, you let me know! :)

Last winter, I drove a 2013 Ultimate and asked about individual tire pressure readings, remote start and hard drive storage for music. He didn't have a clue. Fast forward a month to a dealer in New York state. He had a new 2012 on the floor and offered it to me for 45K, and I think there was room to negotiate. This dealer is over 100 miles from my home, but he still told me that he would provide concierge service. Seemed to good to be true, so I called the Equus line. My question: Was the selling dealer obligated to provide the above service? Answer was no. 2nd question: Was a nearer dealer (40 miles) obligated? Answer was no. Third question: As a matter of corporate police, was any dealer required to offer this service and if so, how close must I be. Answer: There is no corporate policy! Where do they get these guys? In my original post, I asked about a pc download of the manual in an effort to find one place with answers to my questions. I'm currently driving a Cadillac CTS premium wagon, but need something with more room and comfort for long trips. Its a toss up between the Equus and a the Cadillac XTSV right now. The Equus would win hands down if the dealer experience was more consistent.

To test them, ask the dealer to deliver the car for a test drive... At your house!
If they agree, you'll know they aren't liars.
Besides, you can get it in writing from them as part of your deal.
Lastly, ask your questions (tire pressure?) here. Lots of real world experience.

I have a PDF copy of the 2013 Equus Owners manual that I downloaded from www.hmaservice.com. Unfortunately, Hyundai now charges to access this site so I no longer have an account there.

Could you just post it here for all to view?

I tried but i get upload failed. Could be because it is 9mb.

Probably so. One would think that our Webmaster could solve that problem. Having all the manuals here would be a killer draw for membership.
