  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Received a wine stopper in the mail today from Hyundai. Came in a black cardboard box which was sealed in plastic. Also came with an Equus brochure and a little infomation about California wine country. They must be really trying to get the Genesis owners to 'step up' to the Equus!

Im sorry, but I would never spend $58,000 on a Hyundai.

I saw today a Lexus 460L and the sticker on that was $114,000.00. Now here is a price I would never pay for a car.......any car.

Not even if they threw in a wine stopper??

I received the same. The Equus looks mighty fine but for now I am enjoying the Genesis.

I can recall back around 1988-89 saying no one will ever be willing to pay a luxury vehicle price for a Toyota or a Nissan. But since that time I have owned a couple of Lexus myself.

I once said I would never pay ANY price for a Hyundai. Times have changed.

I received a wine stopper in the mail as well. I'll be curious to hear how many other Genesis owners receive the same. I guess we're a target market.

Indeed. I once drove Excels because I couldn't afford anything else. Now that I can afford something else, and after driving numerous cars since, I'm back to Hyundai by choice.

I dated a girl back in the 80's who drove a Hyundai, back then everyone laughed at her and everyone I knew said they would NEVER drive a Hyundai, probably everyone on this forum said the same, so returning to Hyundai is really not a big deal and I really wouldn't brag about it.

When they start sending you wine, you know you're a target. :)

Just stating the facts, not bragging about anything. I used to wear Old Spice but I'm not bragging about that either.

First Honda''s were rust buckets in the 60's and 70's.

Yea I got a wine stopper in the mail, I have looked the Equus over good, not for me.I don't think Hyundai will have good sales with it. I'm very happy with my Genny and expect to keep it for a few years.... Nice stopper though, thx Hyundai

Cheers

Maybe you could use it for a bottle of Pepsi or something. I don't drink either (I had my share 30+ years ago), so I could use a stopper for my Diet Rite.

I did sort of scratch my head a little when I opened the package. Trying to think of the tie in between the Equus and the wine stopper. I guess the perceived 'status' of wine drinkers is where they were attempting to go. It works except not everyone drinks wine or drinks at all. Plus I know some guys on the corner that drink wine that have no interest or means to buy an Equus! You think they might like to have the stopper? :)

LOL
