My wife got stranded when the fob didn't work. "Can't find key" icon was on dash
I went to her assistance with the spare and it worked fine. I checked the battery in her fob and it read 2.8-2.9 volts.I tried the manual's recommendation of locking and unlocking the door manually with the key,then reinserting it in the fob and it worked fine TWICE. This morning didn't work again,so can I assume the fob is kaput?
Also is it possible to carry a spare fob in the car if its placed in the trunk in some kind of container? Kind of scary to know you can get stuck anytime with no warning.
