  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

I made a 65 mile today after some light snow and on roads with some light drifting---------------the kind of conditions where the road can be dry and turn to drifting snow that could have ice under it.

I like using CC, but also know not to use it if roads are icy. That got me to wondering if the ESC kicks the CC off when it activates. Anyone know??

It is the same hardware as in the Coupe, just more intuitive programming. In the Coupe cruise control will be disabled if there is a loss of traction or error in the traction control/electronic stability control system.

Yes the ESC can disable the radar cruise (with the beep you get at a stop) if certain wheel slip conditions are met.

Absolutely. I've had it happen more than once. Not in Florida, of course!! ;)

Yep, my cruise kicks off if the ESC light comes on.

Are you guys really driving on cruise control on slippery/icy roads??? you're nuts! :D

You don't know they are slippery until the ESC comes in ... :D

That's my normal attitude-------------the trick is knowing when the road is slippery. I was kicking the CC in and out based on what the road looked like. However, I had it on and I felt the car wiggle a very little bit. The CC didn't kick off nor did I notice the ESC light come on. The wiggle was maybe so small that the ESC didn't kick on, but it got me to thinking.

In my case, the interstate was mostly dry and clear, on a sunny day. But there were a few patches, still in the shade, were it wasn't dry enough and still a little slick, just in that patch.
