  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

esc off problems?

hmm, this is reminiscent of how it worked on my 2008 300c/srt8
press the button and release cut the system back, but not off.
Hold the button down and it had a little electronic bell that would chime when it deactivated.

Without the traction control the thing was a total beast to drive and took every bit of your concentration to keep the wheels from spinning.
Fun, but pretty much useless for driving.
The thing would smoke the rears at 50+ and start drifting...white knuckle style.

wow!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

esc problems SOLVED!!!!

my r-spec has 800 miles on it. have noticed that when accelerating with esc "off", from a dead stop, 25% of the time, i have a condition that appears to be complete shutdown of of fuel or electrics shutdown. condition last for no more than 2 secs. but obviously should not occur. have not contacted dealer yet. anone have same prob?

After i used the fuse removal process so often quoted on the forum, my problem of being thrown into safety belt as if a 4 brakes were locked up has stopped. i now see no problems with esc in "off" condition and flooring the gas at stop light. it is a rocket!!!!. in essence, i guess my removal/reinstalling fuse, essentially "rebooted" the esc program.
