  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Saw this today and it may be of interest to the EV folks. My guess is that most don't run them down much anyway

Giving common lithium-ion batteries a break could be key to extending their lifespans, according to a team of South Korean experts.

The researchers have found that prolonged use without a recharge causes degradation. As a result, the group from Pohang University of Science and Technology has a simple tip : "Don't use your battery until it runs out."

Looking to update and upgrade your Genesis luxury sport automobile? Look no further than right here in our own forum store - where orders are shipped immediately!
So if you regularly use most of the advertised range before recharging, you will degrade the battery more and lose more range than if you don’t regularly use most of the advertised range before recharging. Sounds like the “advertised” range is a scam.

If you can get the range it is not a scam. Over time, however, it may degrade depending on care. OTOH, it is possible to extend the life of the battery by charging more frequent. Home charger? Don't let it go to the end, plug it in. When you need the range, it should be there.

Same with phone batteries. Many say for best overall life, never go below 10% or charge more than 85%.
