  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
    If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Currently, have 2015 3.8 Sedan RWD, I am looking to make it louder and have decided to go the electric cutout route. I have 2 questions regarding my choice;

1. What is the exhaust diameter of the stock 3.8 Pipes? My plan is to replace the secondary cats before the midmuffler with the cutouts but do not know the exhaust diameter.

2. Is anyone else running Electric cutouts on their sedan? Do you have any recommendations or sound clips?

Before I get any hate I am 19 and just want to have fun, I have elderly neighbors I would like to not piss off every morning but still wouldn't mind being loud at a drivethru, underpass, while doing donuts, etc

What for? You show surprising maturity at age 19 by purchasing a luxury car targeted at people at least twice your age but then plan on defiling it to impress people you most likely don't need to. You will surely annoy some and might get a ticket too. Spend your money some place else (a nice sub?) and you'll be better off in the long run. If you have to impress... just driving around in your car will take care of that more than loud pipes ever will.

1 - Stillen doesn't make that exhaust; they're just selling the Magnaflow cat-back exhaust system, and

2 - That's for the 5.0, not the 3.8 like the OP has. (Magnaflow doesn't make one for the 3.8)

Oh well...
