  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Purchased a loaded 2009 Genesis in Feb. for 27.5K (w/34,500mi.). First road trip the right rear chrome exhaust tip fell off. [Lovely road bed approaching GW Bridge from the north...] Dealer says not available as separate part... Anyone have an aftermarket source? It looks identical to the one on the left side, I think.
TIA,
Green Mountain Boy

Look up “scottdk” on this site.
He has a really nice set of exhaust tips he had installed on his Genesis.
If I remender right he has pictures of the tips posted in his album.

The tips are not the same. The left and right are made with different angles. The tip is welded on and part of the rear muffler. If it just fell off and was not damaged in an accedent then would it not be warranty if your car has less than 60,000 miles?

It was dinged when I purchased it.

Then I guess its your loss since you did not ask dealer to replace it before purchase.

Was it a certified pre-owned? If so it should be covered by the manufacturers warranty so long as it wasn't in an accident. If there is no other notable damage to the bottom of the car then they should take care of it.
