exit/entry convenience system not working

Just swapped out my G80 for a 2019 G70 3.3 T with only 100 miles on it. After driving home 100 miles from the non-Genesis used car store, I noticed that that exit-entry convenience function which moves the seat and steering will when you enter-exit, is not working. I put the button on either the normal or extended seat pull back and neither works. Keeps this choice when I pull out of this convenience page and enter it again.

This is certainly under the warranty package, but my nearest Genesis dealer is 100 miles away. Any ideas on a possible cheap fix I could do myself. Could this be just a blown fuse or loose connector I could check myself?

Did the steering wheel ever move for you during the exit-entry function? Sometimes if your seat is already set back pretty far during normal driving position, there may just not be enough room for it to extend back.

no the wheel does not move either and the seat is not all the way back. Something is busted

Wheel should move, seat might not. Been discussed on here. I had a G80 loaner a week ago and it moved so far back on exit. My G70 doesn’t move at all at for my 6 foot 2 driving position but the steering wheel goes up

Try this - With the exit-entry convenience function enabled, Put the seat as forward as possible and the steering wheel as low as possible and then open the door.

Yes, the wheel does move up, but the seat does not go back from were I set it normally, even at the extra long setting. There is at least 4 inches between the rear of the driver's seat and the edge of the rear seat, but I guess the system is designed not to go back for fear of crushing the kneecaps of any rear seat passenger. This didn't happen in my G80 where there was a lot more rear legroom.
This is make sense or is there still something wrong? Would have driven 100 miles to Genesis (each way) for nothing

You are right here regarding the leg room I think. The rear leg room and more so the toe room is the problem with this car. I am guessing that they did not want to crush the rear passenger's toes by moving it back and programmed it to behave like it does. Sometimes I wonder if this car was initially designed to be a 2 door coupe.

It’s not a design choice I agree with, but that is the case. I’m tall too, and wouldn’t mind those couple inches but nothing we can do

If it is making noise but not moving there is something broken or the seat is jammed. Make sure nothing fell under it.

Does it move if you use the manual adjustment switch on the seat? That will tell you a lot.

It moves fine with the controls. Not a problem. Just doesn't move at all on auto/exit.

If it continues to be a problem some have used the seat memory buttons to solve this issue. Set #1 as your preferred driving position and #2 as the exit/entry position. Instead of auto movement it is a button push.

I just got a 2021 G80 used 18,000 miles. The steering wheel moves on entry/exit but not the seat. I moved the driver's seat almost all the way forward and saved it as my driver 1. It still does not move when I open or close the door. Something is definitely wrong. I contacted Genesis and supposedly somebody is going to call me since I do not have a Genesis dealer anywhere close to where I live.

I had the same problem. Took it to one dealer. They had the audacity (read: balls) to say that this was a courier car and the drivers seat did not have convenience feature. What a laugh, since Genesis has videos showing it in use. Alas, I went to a second dealership and they fixed it by re-programming the unit. That did it. So, not all Genesis dealers are the same, and my dealership in Virginia Beach I will never go to again if I can help it. They simple aren't educated enough to understand this car.
