  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

I have a 2012 with 96K miles on it. I have an extended warranty through AUL for 48 months or another 48K miles. Rear seat no longer reclines and both front ventilated seats stopped working.

Total bill $5100. I paid $2950 for the warranty and they are covering it. Total cost to me $100

Rear motor is attached to the track, so it all needs to be replaced. Around $1500
Driver front seat blower needs to be replaced around $400
Passenger front seat blower is part of the track and it all needs to be replaced. Over $3000

That is some crazy prices for those parts.

Good that you got value from the warranty.

There is a good reason why they charge those prices for parts. Because they can.

I've bought industrial replacement parts over many years. They have no shame and get very high prices. Sometimes you get lucky and can find a generic part, but if not . . . best to keep a tube of KY on hand.

Smart dude!

My extended warranty will run till 2024, based on my normal annual mileage. Warranty cost $1,295.

I made a post just now and didn't see this one. My issue w/ the front seats are the fans are operating but no cold air coming out of the perforated holes, actually no air that I can feel at all, was that what you experienced? I'm taking it in to the dealer before the 60K mark due to the warranty.
Also, can I extend the warranty before 60K expires?

For an official Hyundai extended warranty, talk to the finance department of your dealer (or any Hyundai dealer) about this.

It chills the seats, but does not blow air through the holes in the leather. Feels more like an ice pack.
