  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Anybody worked out how to convert the DLR lights to the LED eyelashes? I think it would be cool if it could be done.

I just took out the DLR bulbs out.....but honestly since the LED isn't strong you can't really see it on during the day so its kind of useless.....even at night looks cool but you get pull over for only having the LED's on so the only time for me to have those on is around 5-6 PM here in Cali.......i'm thinking on putting back the DLR on with a different bulb color.

I got the same LED bulbs as well but i haven't put them on because I heard that DRL and High Beams need to be Halogen bulbs instead of LED since they run in higher temp and they could melt the LED bulb or something like that......

Did you have any problems so far?

No problems at all although u do loose your high beams which I haven't really noticed

I looked into this when I first got my Genney but didn't go thru with it. Now I'm glad I didn't.

Seems that every little POS wanabe car in town has some form of LED lights on the front end. So instead of following the masses, I'm going to stick with Hyundai's inovation and be a trend setter. :)

How true! Reminds me of when the blue headlight bulb craze started. Imagine disabling your high beams, just to look cool "in your own mind." I'm gonna cut out my seat belts. They wrinkle my shirt.

+1

BTW I was one of them back in the day. I didn't know anything about lighting at all in highschool. I had the stupid blue headlight bulbs from Phillips and then later added the smoked headlight covers, which were eventually stolen from another dude with the same car as me in high school ('88 Bonneville LE) Couldn't see sh*t, but I thought it was cool at the time. Maybe because it was new. Now I think the blue is ugly, and cheap looking.
