  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

There is an older thread about EZPass, but doesn't really address placement of the transponder on the 2015 Genesis with the Tech and Ultimate packages.

So much of the real estate behind the rear view mirrors is taken up by the various sensors and cameras I'm not sure where to mount the EZPass transponder.

I'm sure there are some drivers of the 2015 Genesis who use EZPass. Where did you mount your EZPass? What's worked best for you?

Thanks

Also, left drivers corner up high on windshield works too. In case you move your from one car to another. Easy to grab.

Same here. Right side of center mirror is where I keep my ez pass. Left side for radar and under for dash cam.

I placed mine directly under the rear view. Ours here in Florida are white and it stood out like a sore thumb so I painted mine black (except the suction cups) and it now blends right in when looking at the car from the front.

Here in Florida we don't get that option. Ours is called Sun-Pass and only comes in off white.

This is a bit off topic, but relevant. I've always thought that they should standardize the EZPass, in the U.S., and manufactures should have it pre-installed or as a option. It would be great not to have to stick that ugly box on the windshield!

Which is why the $7 plastic holders available in black take care of that.

In NJ you have the option of getting a black plastic EZPass thing that attaches to the same top two bolts that the front license plate does.

That being said, EZPass almost never picks up the bar, but they see my car is registered to the account by license plate and I don't get any violation paperwork... which makes you wonder if you even need an EZPass now that I think about it....

I use the mini sunpass in FL. Place it to the right of the black plastic shroud. I never see it from the driver side. The rearview mirror is blocking it. :)

Resurrecting an old thread - a Google search for toll tag placement brought me here.

The large plastic cover around the rear-view mirror electronics already takes up space... so I'm going to try this out. If it works (no toll read failures) I'll remove the black tape and stick it down. Out of sight and no more space taken.

This is a Texas Toll Tag, the back is self-adhesive.

Top of the windshield, on the right of that big thing the rearview mirror is attached to. Never had any problem.

Same. I have my NTTA transponder on the left side and my EZ Pass on the right. No issues

Does this work?

Does this work?
Yes! I have had no issues with the toll machines reading the chip. I have not used it a lot, maybe 15 times, but no misses yet. I plan to keep it in this spot.

I placed my Peach Pass(EZ pass for Atlanta) under the front lane assist camera. I can not see it inside the car because the rear view mirror blocks the view of it; unless I bend down and look behind the rear view mirror to view it.

That's a lot smaller sticker than we get in (north) Texas. Ours is maybe 3x3". I'm glad I was able to put mine on the plastic mirror assembly to prevent blocking more view for the front passenger seat.

I noticed. I would put that large EZ pass in the upper left corner of the windshield on my driver side and pretend that it is not there.:)

However, it seems that you found a pretty good location that is out of sight which is good.
