Factory Ordering

I apologize if this question is answered elsewhere but I couldn't find it in a search of the forum. I'm interested in factory ordering a 2011 Genesis coup and I need to know how late in the year I should wait until I place the order. If anyone has any experience or inside information concerning factory ordering through a Hyundai dealer please share your pearls of wisdom. I'm also curious to know how long the wait process is as I'm currently deployed overseas and will not be returning home until October. Thanks in advance!

There is no factory ordering with Hyundai. They make what they make and ship to dealers. A dealer can/does make swaps with other dealers for colors/trims etc., and usually will search a multi-state area to find what you want. Be aware that this year especially it's gonna be hard to get choosy: Hyundai US was projecting sales increase of 16% in 2011 and Hyundai cut them back to 8% due to "supply shortages". Other manufacturers are experiencing the same thing.
