  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

I've determined from research that my lack of DRL's comes down to the FAM module. I'm in Canada so DRL is mandatory by law. The high beams work so it's not the bulbs. Does anyone know where the FAM is actually located in the car? Not the fuses, but the module itself?

Front Area Module (FAM) is located in one of the fuse + relay boxes under the hood if I remember correctly. Open up the plastic box closest to the passenger seat. The FAM is a plastic rectangular thing mounted on-edge inside the box; it'll have a plastic lever/bail that holds it in position. It's physically about the size of a portable CD player. Disconnect the battery before removing the FAM.
Was your car originally a Canadian model - the US spec cars don't have DRLs.

Yup, it's a Canadian model. I checked all the fuse locations for wiring as well for DRL and its all there. Thanks for the location description. I'll take a look for it.

Thanks Mike! Worked perfectly! Just unplugged the FAM and plugged it back in. DRL's are now working!

I have 2013 Genesis sedan and I found my FAM unit on the passenger-side engine compartment fuse box (just in front of the firewall. lift up the fuse box cover and the FAM unit will be the Nintendo-type cartridge to the far left.
