Hello,
I have sold 2015 Genesis 5.0 at about 53k miles. Did not plan to sell the car now, but since I have two cars (Buick Lacrosse) and appraisal from CarMax was too good to refuse.
Overall I had good experience with the car, but unfixable sunroof issues as well as other common issues (e.g. flutter) took good time off the ownership so I feel sad, but also relieved. I am going to miss 5.0 acceleration with sprint booster! My Buick only has 240 horsepower which is adequate, but not fast in any means.
I never had car which required so many dealer service (having 2 car made it manageable) but then again I had cheaper cars so It is also not a fair comparison. Good news is I never paid anything out of pocket other than scheduled maintenance.
It is also nice not having car note. I have paid my remaining student loan with positive equity which I did not pay too much attention since it was so low (i owed about $7k after 5 years of school when I graduated few years back).
My girlfriend also sold her car (greatly overvalued by Carvana) and ended up with new Hyundai Elantra, so I am still in Hyundai family. It is amazing how budget compact car is well equipped nowadays. With 3 year free maintenance schedule and Hyundai warranty (big seller for us), not expecting to pay out car repair next 5 year or so.
