  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Welcome aboard! And thank you for signing up. I'm glad you found us. Congratulations on your brand new Genesis GV70! :) What will the GV70 be replacing for you?

It's replacing a '23 Durango SRT/392 being bought back by Dodge. Going to be quite the change for me ;)

I see. That IS a nice vehicle... How do the two compare? And what happened with the Dodge Durango?

Durango has numerous build issues and a highly uncooperative dealer (Jenkins Automotive Group). My '18 R/T was flawless, but the new ones are not.
No more cars from them, drove past 2 of their dealerships to get to where I bought the GV70.

Taking delivery this weekend, will put some miles under my belt before comparing. Just from the TD, it is much quieter & refined but not as roomy or fast, more like my old Infiniti Q45's and M45t.

I'm not all that surprised about the bad dealership experience. I've been there as well, way back in the day. Never bought another Chrysler/Dodge/etc product again. But they do make some really nice vehicles... Yes, the Genesis will give you more of that luxury experience than the Durango did. You could always tune the GV70 if you really wanted it to be faster.

Stock it has as much HP & TQ as the R/T and weighs a lot less, so I'll prob. be OK with the power. I know I will want to do something with the exhaust tho, too tame for my taste (my 'weekend car' is a Challenger Hellcat so I'm a fast & loud kinda guy) ;)
