  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Those phallic jealous others who mock these real life wins, can keep on yapping.

You are such a weird dude. Just when I think you've turned the corner, you submit this gem.

For the record, I do not envy your Hyundai Penis/Genesis.

You are so easy to set off... Funny really.. Predictable.

and the record shall so reflect.

NEXT :D

And you as a drive by "moderator".... Having such a conspiracy theory listed on the bottom of the your comment.. Geez... At first I thought it was funny to honor the person quoted who had a funny idea. It is getting real old now. At times you show up like a snickering high school wanna be bully in some of your posts. You think you have some latitude because you have "power" as a moderator? You Sal's junk yard dog?

Record so does not reflect on little equipped moderators who yank comments because they are afraid of what a post say about them. Yet, will still act like a drive by wanna be with a comment like this... Hey turd, you Sal's junk yard dog who cannot take the heat? Do not pull my posts that happen to be critical of you. You going to pull this one too? Get back on your Segway, and monitor the local mall.

Or did Sal yank my post to protect your feelings?

I just like to call people on their bullshit. You happen to have a plentiful supply most of the time, unfortunately.

Couple of things... That chart has something they are not telling.. The hoods of the GT and SS were open, fans blowing on them, with CAI. Genny had no such advantage, and was using the stock air system (flapper and all). Also, the dynos have a problem with the 8 speed auto. And if not driven correctly on the rollers will under report HP. All kinds of odd dunno factors on how the measuring goes in could easily under report HP on the Tau.

In real life, no matter what some 4.6 owners with phallic envy say, the 5.0 Tau has won.. Period. Combination of the better 8 speed gearing helping offset the weight problem, and possible the GTs had their CAI heat soaked, or stock systems, bad driving, whatever, first Generation Gennys will continue to hold their own, and accurate reports of beating GTs and other cars will continue. Regardless of the keyboard naysayers.

I for one have had previous fun mocking the Tau for being a copy of the modular V8 system of Ford. Which is true.., however, I will defend the Genny, and people who have won over certain cars. Those phallic jealous others who mock these real life wins, can keep on yapping.

In the past I was mocked because I beat (with my first Gen Genny) a new M4. Well. It happened.. Late at night when I was getting gas, I heard the horrible sounding (sounds like a 1967 Ford of Chevy straight 6 panel bread van without a muffler and running on nitrous) M4 racing himself from stop light to stop light. No traffic. I was finishing up and pulled out. Anyway we raced from 30mph on, and I pulled ahead of him slightly by few yards. Only way this could happen is if he could not drive it (he was wide open because it was so loud beyond belief beside me and as I pulled past him), his vaunted water cooled intercooler was heat soaked, he was running crap gas, or something. The outcome did happen.. And sparked horrible drive by verbal assaults by numbskulls. It should not have happened.. The M4 had at least 450 lbs advantage, and 5-10 percent more published power. It was a manual. Whatever... He lost that time.

Oh, BTW.. Will be posting BMW latest vaunted tech "innovation" later... They have designed a J. C. Whitney inspired water injection system to "increase mileage and performance by 10-18%". Sound like a claim right out of the Whitney catalog. Geez.. Can't the German come up with something innovative? Using a old dog trick which they claim will be in every BMW in the coming years.. Instead of fuel to cool down the combustion process to prevent damage, they will inject water... I have an idea.. Design a motor that does not need either. This is silliness to bandaid design flaws.

1. Why are you talking about what 4.6 liter Mustang GT owners with "phallic envy say"? Who's talking about the 4.6 liter?

2. You never raced an M4. Plus, it takes a lot for the M4 to get heat soaked. Your race with the M4 was either:

A. A dream
B. Not actually a race
C. An "M-badged" 435i (they're all over the place)

Today, I'm going to save the internet. Every time you mention on this site that you beat an M4, your account is banned for one week. Give it a shot...

lol!

wow really? and we're done...

He was referring to Genesis 4.6 owners, hence my reply to him in the previous post.

Back on topic:
I'm trying to get my wife to come to the track with me and go head to head Genny vs her Q50. We already raced twice where we staged it together because she was talking crap after getting her car this year. She's AWD and I lost the first race decisively (I just rolled into full throttle). Then, I won the second race by a car (put it in sport shift left ESC ON + flapper door mod) and stabbed the gas pedal at the line. Genesis grandma shifts between gears kill it...
I figure both cars can run 13.8 or better with good air at the track. There are some stock Q50's running 13.5.
My '11 4.6 really gets off the line well for a RWD pig. You can feel the weight transfer and the nose shift upward as you launch. That flapper door mod really has helped.

Yea our cars get off the line really well! But those freaking shifts kill it. I have been in super cars and their shifts at WOT or close there are insanely quick and hard. I wish we got that near WOT but I feel it would detract from the "luxury car" feel :/

Perhaps Hyundai needs to allow a true sport mode where the transmission shifts quickly. I understand the part about soft, seamless shifts being luxurious - but having the option to go "hard core" would be nice for those who want it.

If someone could crack the TCU, telling the thing to shift at full line pressure would help, but the only real solution is a dual-clutch, IMO.

We have covered this few times in the past, If we are talking about the 8sp, it is Quin-clutch (five) hybrid setup. :D

And no, cracking TCU is not on the cards anytime soon, Let us first get some traction (pardon the pun) on cracking the ECU for either v8s!? :(

I've been able to hang with some impressive cars...I don't think I seen the tail lights of a stock GT mustang

by who when where and how :)

Exactly, thank you.
I might have somehow missed the memo?
But as far as I know, there are ONLY two stake holders who are still on working on this problem, with no concrete date for the 4.6, let alone the 5.0! ;)
