  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

I recently replaced the stock H caps with winged units on my '10 4.6 18" wheels (thanks again EXDMWGUY :D ). I noticed this weekend the front drivers center piece was misaligned, not the wing cap but whole scalloped plastic cover. I rotated it back so it was aligned with the rest of the wheel, but it slides back to out of sync. I popped it off with the tool on top of the spare in trunk and noticed that the metal retaining ring/collar is missing. I remember seeing these rings when I made the swap, but don't recall one missing. I could have overlooked this though :o

Any chance someone still has the stock 18" covers and is willing to send me the retaining ring from it? Or knows where I can get this piece without having to buy a whole new cover at $30+ on ebay?

Thanks

Okay, I'll send the ring for free. The postage will be 30 bucks.
