I’m all about the burgundy exterior and interior but my one concern is that I live in a high crime city and I feel like the purple might be a smidge too conspicuous!

Conspicuous for sure, but you probably know that it’s Hondas, Toyotas, the Ford F-150 and other ubiquitous vehicles that are the most stolen. Stolen for parts, so the scarce GV70 should be pretty safe except of course from the occasional joy rider, but that’s why we have insurance. BTW, the cost of insurance on my 2015 Corvette is a tad less than insurance on my 2016 Subaru Outback even though the Outback is one of the cheapest cars to insure. Treat yourself to the purple.

Mauna Red, now. I liked Adriatic Blue as well (but haven't seen in person), and was a little worried about the red being too bright or red/orange - sometimes it's hard to tell in the photos. But in person, it is fantastic! Here is a photo from today, a rainy, dreary day in Ohio. Ask me if I still like Mauna Red in a few weeks when the sun finally reappears.

Yeah. Was on the fence about red too. Saw Mauna Red on a dealers lot at night under street lights. Someone said it’s kinda like the Mazda red but I didn’t think so. Not like fire engine red either. IDK, red looks great on Ferraris and Miatas. Don’t like it on any German brands. Seems like red just tries too hard for a luxury brand.

I bought the mauna red too, but i know it'll never be as nice as the soul red crystal of mazdas. That was the main reason i hesitated on getting the red, but i didn't love any other colors, so mauna red it is.

Great choice on color as the Mauna Red is a beautiful red, not to light like an orange red and not too dark like a maroon red. Also, according to this survey of most popular exterior colors, it is number two just one vote behind Seville Silver.
When I was looking at the GV70 and GV80 vehicles on a large dealership near me, I was able to see about eight different colors. A color that impressed me was the Seville Silver which was one of the most attractive silver paint colors that I ever saw. I had two previous silver cars in the past but they were both that light colored silver which looks like a faded silver in bright sunlight. The Seville Silver is a rich looking medium tone silver.
But on the same day, I saw the Cardiff Green and was blown away especially when I noticed the tiny gold speckles in the paint job in the bright sunlight. As I wanted a special unique color for a special unique car, I immediately decided that Cardiff Green would satisfy that want. I have only had the vehicle for three weeks and still stare at it in my driveway with a big smile on my face.
By the way, for the longest time Cardiff Green was ranked fourth in exterior colors with 19 votes. I noticed in the last week it picked up two more votes for a total of 21. To those two voters, welcome to the unofficial Cardiff Green Club!!

Any way you can take a close up photo of those golden speckles?

Here in Canada, Genesis has their own dealerships but it's more like boutiques in a mall which can fit only 4-5 cars (Polestar does the same). So there's no dealership parking lot to visit and therefore not much colors to see. I saw at Genesis a Vik Black GV70 with red interior, quite striking (My wife loved it) and the black had a metallic sparkle to it, which was nice. However, I find that in black, you kind of lose the unique shape of the C-pillar.

I also saw a Himalayan Grey GV70, but it was on the move and too far away to properly see it well. I saw a Mauna red parked at Costco, but found it a bit too bright (My current car is already metallic red so I'm due for a change). I'm leaning towards Uyuni white as it has a nice pearl effect in the paint that give sun reflections in the car a bit of a frosty look.

I have yet to see Cardiff Green in person, from pictures it looks nice though but I had never guessed that golden sparkle was there...!

Does anyone have the blue exterior, red interior 3.5T prestige combo? I put in an order a few months ago sight unseen but feel like that’s such a perfect mix. I can’t wait to get in hopefully in two months!! 😊

I too am a big fan of Cardiff Green. My issue is that the interior color choices are not ideal. I don't want black and that vanilla beige is too light for my tastes. It's a shame there is no tan/brown pairing with CG.

I had red that article, very interesting... The trick with photos is there's quite a few settings you can play with that alter how the colors come out. Also the Mauna red I saw was under cloudy skies (And in need of a wash), that may have contributed to the hint of orange in the hue of the paint...

Re the speckles in the Cardiff Green exterior paint color. I don't have the greatest camera but here are a couple of photos where hopefully you can see what I am talking about of how remarkable this color looks in the bright sunlight. Looks totally different on a cloudy day or near dusk.

You're camera is actually plenty good to convey the effect, this looks really sharp, congrats! 👍

I purchased an allocated GV70 2.5L Advanced in Uyuni white with beige interior and love it. Thought I would struggle going from my black/black Buick Envision but have gotten a ton of compliments on it and love that rain and sprinklers have still left the car looking fresh.

One of my alternative colors if we decide to go with Prestige trim in Beige quilted interior (has high spouse approval). To my amazement I have not found a decent pic or video of an Adriatic Blue GV70 w sports package, so I made my own to get an idea of how it might look. (Quick and dirty render w trim blacked out).View attachment 37279
I love the blue! I’m not sure if it was the package you’re looking for but Huffines/ Genesis of Plano had a GV70 in the blue and it’s gorgeous.

I wanted to get the Melbourne Gray but dealerships in my area rarely sell any matte paint finishes. Instead purchased the 2.5 prestige in Himalayan Gray with red interior and wrapped entire vehicle in DYNOMATT paint protection film. Now my GV70 has a Melbourne Gray with satin finish look.

I looked for a Mauna Red with Ultramarine Blue interior Sport Prestige 3.5 for weeks but it is actually unobtanium in the USA. I ordered that package but it's 4-6 months-- MAYBE.

I did find one with that combo in Santa Monica but it turned out to be a very shady deal trying to pass off an "owners demo" with over 3000 miles as new so I walked away.

My next favorite color was Seville Silver and it, too, is just as hard to find in the US. I finally located the only one I could find in the entire country in Florida and drove down and picked it up. I love the color combo and, for me, it will be the best practical choice. I live on a dirt road and in the summer the dust is terrible. The Silver will hide that the best.

I still love that Mauna Red though...

(btw the Ultramarine Blue is perfect. I was worried it would be too light but it's fantastic)

Can you post pics of the interior? I’m on the fence between the red and blue? I’ve ordered a blue exterior with red interior but the inverse sounds like a cool combo as well.

I'll get some later but in the mean time this review has the blue interior and is a pretty good look. The thing I was worried about is in the light it looks very light blue but the natural color is pretty dark. I compared ity to the black and the black looks like light gray in the sunlight, the way this gets light in the sunlight. Quite happy with the blue. And the red stitching and red seatbelts are awesome.

1:13 on this video is a great view of the "normal" blue and what it looks like in direct sun.
