  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

What small things, dealbreakers or not, do you wish the G70 had? They don't necessarily have to be tech features, just anything overall. Here are some things I wish it came with:

- Sensors on the door handles to auto-unlock
- Interior ambient lighting
- Wireless Android Auto (I know it's not a common thing yet, but maybe having it in the future refresh would be nice)

Same as your list...adding MMI system like the Audi...along with virtual cockpit.

Perhaps better exhaust note. S4/5 sounds awesome.

Another 2” backseat room and more room under seats for rear peep’s feet.

I HATE the door handles that auto-unlock when you touch it with your hand. You can't double-check that the car is locked by pulling the handle because it just unlocks it.

+1 for interior ambient lighting and led turn lights though

Wipers that automatically go from “low” to intermittent when you come to a stop. My last 3 BMWs since 1998 had this feature and I’m surprised that the G70 doesn’t.

Definitely agree with the LED turn signals. It's weird that the brake lights are LED but the turn signals aren't.

It'd be nice if the infotainment screen was bezel-less. I don't mind it plopped on top because it's easier to see the road too, but it does look bulky and large.

They don't on the G70 - you have to press the little button on the handle.

EDIT - sorry didn't see you were replying to someone else ...

The Elite comes with rain sensing wipers. That will adjust for you. You can adjust sensitivity to your liking too.

A more aggressive exhaust, for sure. Also, although I've preferred analog gauges forever, I've actually seen some digital dash displays that are incredible, allowing for the appearance of analog gauges or a wide assortment of other display configurations. The Mustang digital display, for example, is just gorgeous and highly customizable. Something like that would have been nice on the G70.

But these are pretty small quibbles.

Ambeint lighting for sure !
Exhaust note as well could be better.

I like illuminated door sills as well as more options for accesories but the ambeint lighting and exhaust are the only things keeping this from being my forever car

digital instrument cluster. looking at the new bmw 3 series. SIGH.

That's enough digital for me. I like the balance of analog it has right now.

I would like it to stay in the driving mode you select after restarting the car. At least make it a configurable item.

Adjustable fan speed in the rear.

Better HUD lighting for use with polarized sunglasses.

The nav is wonky on occasion for me. Directions are not always right.

Rear sunshades.

So...I looked over the 2020 G70 brochure. Other than the 3D virtual cockpit...nothing has changed.

So I’m buying now...no reason to wait. I’m actually in shock that they didn’t do a proper MMI. No LED accent lighting either.

It seems they updated the infotainment as well. To what extent they differentiated from the Hyundai system is still up in the air, but if it's significantly fancier, I may want the 2020 version... But then again, the screen is still the bulky bezel screen so how different would the look actually be...?

Sounds like companies are possibly moving away from the MMI, well at least Audi anyway.

never happen.

The EPA bases it's testing on default drive modes. By having the car start in a Sport or Custom mode and not normal or eco the EPA test would result in a lower MPG rating.

Because of ever tightening MPG requirements, all manufacturers set the car to a default mode that results in the best MPG rating for the vehicle..

I get it. Still a feature I wish I could have. I wish for many things that'll never happen 😀

Traded a G90 on a 3.3 Prestige G70 and LOVE it. The G70 has almost all the features of the G90 but there are a few things I miss. As a long time audiophile, I really enjoyed the incredible G90 audio - best I’ve ever heard in a car. The G70 sound is very good but not in the same class. I found The G90 multimedia control knob much more convenient than the G70 touchscreen although this is a very nice touchscreen implementation. I was surprised how much I liked the G90’s self-latching doors and power trunk lid - missing on the G70. The exhaust tone on the G70 is buzzy, raspy and unpleasantly loud even with the enhanced sound switched off. I know that’s not the engine because our G90 had exactly the same turbo V6. The G70 needs higher resolution screen and cameras - but so did the G90. I don’t miss the G90 “luxuries” like power window shades or multi-hue ambient lighting. The G70 is a VERY enjoyable driver’s car whereas the G90 was a better car for the passenger. We prefer the G70.
