  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Features you wished the G70 had?

You're in luck. You can make the car stay in manual mode and even reach the redline, but within reason, if you use Sport mode and turn off traction and stability.
I wish you could select a full manual mode without having to turn off the traction and stability control personally.

Other things I'd like that I don't think have been mentioned yet:

-remote start on the keyfob, to hell with the app controlled version
-variable exhaust, switching to sport mode and getting a louder/deeper exhaust tone along with it would be awesome
-more settings for the electronic suspension. Sport and sport plus as well as comfort and comfort plus or something of that sort would be fantastic (the mando device for the Stinger makes it seem this is indeed possible)
-Genesis specific infotainment (something to differentiate it from the Hyundai origins)
-more direct control over the subwoofer settings in the sound system. Direct control over subwoofer output level and crossover frequency would remove my only real complaints about the audio system
-make it so auto-hold can be enabled by default
-make it so the climate control fan retains your previous setting when set to front defrost, I don't care for how it cranks it to maximum fan setting by default upon startup
-ability to have the seat bolsters give me the sport mode "hug" in settings other than sport when I'm feeling lonely
-user configurable ambient lighting
-climate control settings display near the controls, not only on the infotainment screen

Sport mode changes the shift points. Keeps the car in a higher gear for a longer time, shifts harder and faster and sharpens the throttle response.

To clarify my point, I just want to change the throttle response in custom mode, so I could put the transmission behavior in either comfort or eco.

Gotcha, my bad for misunderstanding. Would be nice to separate that. Definitely gets on my nerves when I'm in eco and when I hit the gas a bit, the car just goes "LOL you wish"

Get yourself a pedal tuner and you can make that issue a thing of the past.

Until I switch to sport and it's twitch level 9000 🤷‍♂️

It's not really that big of an issue for me, so no point in throwing money at it

It's pretty configurable though. I did find an adjustment period with sport mode so I'm not unintentionally launching the car all over the place, but it's well worth it in my view for the increased throttle sensitivity in comfort and eco modes.

You know, I was reading up on the Tau V8 5.0 the other day and comparing it to the old Lexus ISF V8 engine that I thought was amazing, back in the day.. I was surprised to see that the Tau is pretty much better in every single way, minus the combined direct and port injection. But despite that drawback, it produces better numbers and efficiency. That's an impressive engine. It will be missed.

BUT - the new smartstream series will be worthy successors.
