  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

If you have replaced your stock 18 inchers with 19" rims, can you please comment as to how much it changed the firmness of your ride?

I picked the type of rims that I want to order but am still debating between 18" and 19". Leaning towards 18" because of my worry about making the ride more firm, but I really like the look of the 19" wheels better.

If it matters, I am not looking to do a staggered set up and will most likely go with 8" width.

I have seen some random comments here and there but could use some final advice before my decision.

Thanks!

All other things being equal (same brand and model of tire, and same tire diameter), a 19" wheel will have a firmer ride than an 18" wheel. I don't know how anyone can quantify that to your satisfaction.
