Finally, After a year or more of viewing this site almost daily, I have purchased a new 2010 3.8 White Pearl Genesis sedan with Tech and Premium packages. I bought it at invoice from Homer Skelton Hyundai on Germantown Road near Memphis TN. Great purchase experience with no hassle or pressure. See Dalton Graham at 870 635-3622. One of the fun things I've enjoyed about driving a Genesis is that so many men and women have asked me about my car. Strangers at that!

I have a Plat Black Tech 3.8 re badged and have had it for about 6 weeks. Today I drove around the Hyundai sales lot were I bought it. As I drove by the main building where the sales people are, and as I looked through the all glass facia of the building I could see about a dozen people peering out at my car as i drove by the building, I waved and then went home. My car is spotless with many coats of wax so far. This car is a head turner and always brings the looks. I love my car. (and my wife of course).

We should consider ourselves very lucky to own a Genesis

Actually, I think every color looks great on the Genesis. However, when I leave work at night mine is nearly alone in the parking lot, and the white satin is absolutely gorgeous under the lights. Recently a woman who works in the building approached me to say that everyone in her office has been talking about my car wondering who drove it. She was truly excited to get the "tour".

Everyone has a favorite color and mine is the Cabernet Red. I went to lunch yesterday and when I came out, there was a Red Lexus GS350 parked a couple of slots down from me. We were the only two cars in that part of the lot and I got a chance to look them over and compare.

There was no contest - my 4.6 was much nicer looking. The Lexus seemed to sit higher with much more ground clearance and looked awkward. The paint on my Genesis was much nicer with the glitter in the sun. The pin striping on mine also set it apart from the Lexus and I was surprised how noticeable it was. I also preferred the wheels on the Genesis to the Lexus. The general shape of the Genesis is much more up to date and sleeker.

Both cars were nosed in to the parking spaces and I didn't compare from the front, but that is one area where I believe that the Lexus might hold a slight edge. I like the grill on the Genesus, but something seems to be missing and I can't quite put my finger on what would improve it. Overall I think the Genesis outscored the Lexus by quite some margin.

I forgot to mention that I got 36 month financing through Hyundai for 1.9%.

The best white "satin pearl" was the 2000 Sonata. It literally "glowed" under a mercury vapor lamp.

The XG 350 L satin was OK and now I have a 2006 Azera - satin paint just OK.

Well my (what year) 350XL didn't look that good and my 2006 Azera (pearl white) doesn't look that good.

But my 2000 Sonata (pearl white) literally glowed under those mercury vapor lamps.

Color was better than the Caddy (white whatever).

Still waiting to take the plunge (with a 739 FICO score) car dealers are still looking to rape me on the interest rate. They don't want to sell cars - they want a home run.

The white is really pretty - pictures don't always do it justice because of the pearl effect. My last sedan was a pearlescent white, so I went with Sterling Blue this time, but the white is pretty.

Dond13 - Please post pix of your pin striping. I would really like to stripe my White Genny, but would like to see some examples. Also - where to you get a pro pin striping job. I only see striping materials, not services when I Google it.
