FINALLY on board!!! Black/Black Tech 4.6

3 months wait for my car. It literally came off the boat last week. I went to pick up my car an hour ago from Hyundai North America corporate office. Dropped off my check, signed the papers and drove off in 20 mins. 18 miles on the odo when I picked it up. Lexicon Tech Package sound system sounds very very good. I could not be happier with the car. If it was not for the Lakers' game, I would be driving it around town right now. Rear wing badge is on, airbag sticker is also on. I'm not sure about putting the front badge just yet. I want to see how I like the front without the wing badge. I was going to put my 20" Work Varianza D3S wheels on but it is almost Lakers game time so I'll put the wheels on tomorrow. Beside I want to see how the car ride with stock wheels for a day

Well you have lived up to your forum name . I am envious!! Congrats on the new car. What's the build date on the drivers side door? Please post pictures when you get a chance - especially if you put aftermarket wheels on it. The ones I have seen on this forum look very cool!

That is because I did not order it through the dealers. I got it ordered straight from Hyundai North America corporation office. This is for employee and employee's family only. I wished I could have gone to a dealer and pick up a black/black tech v8 for the employee pricing. It just does not work that way unfortunately. That was why my car took 3 months to get. They actually had to place an order for my car and have it shipped here. It came off the boat last week. Since my car is now made at a much later date I'm glad that my dash does not have the brown leather insert though. I dont think black interior flows well with brown insert. When I was at the corporate office. I saw about 30 Genesis sedans, many of them were V8executive loaner cars too. I also saw like 20 genesis coupes

I wonder why 18 miles? Don't cars usually have 6 miles on them when they're brand spanking new? That's what the Sonata's have. ... of course you have to transport on ships.. but 18 miles seem a long .. I wonder what they do with all that testing?

I checked my door jam and it was made on March 30th 2009, so It took almost a month to arrive to the port of LA here, it arrived at the port of LA April 29th.
