Finally took the plunge!

OK, Finally took the plunge. After some negotiations, OK a lot of negotiations, I bought a new 2009 Sonata Limited (yeah, so what!), AND have a contract on a Titanium Grey/Black V*, with the 05 Tech package. The dealer, fortunately, had ordered exactly that in their first round "required" order, and I've grabbed it.

The V8, for $2K just had too much going for it, between the larger dual caliper brakes, the nicer (in my opinion) 18" wheels, trims, electric assist steering, etc. I really got a good overall deal - paying a (very) little less than MSRP for the Genesis, and a LOT less for the Sonata ($2000 rebate plus $500 loyalty too). Oh, wait, it also includes tax, title and licence, dealer fees and delivery - so yeah, a was great deal!

Dealer is expecting mid-August delivery, so we'll see . . .

Congrats! Hopefully your dealer is right and it will be here in 3 weeks. I'm anxious to hear more feedback from V8 owners. It's confusing/irritating that this engine (Tau V8) is already out in the Kia Borrego, but not the Genesis. Did they think the demand for a new truck-based V8 SUV outweighed the demand for the Genesis?

Congrats on your purchases! Excellent price on the Sonata! What assurances did your dealer give you that it would be delivered in a certain period of time?
