  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Which one is better finance or lease on a 2015 hyundai genesis? I went to a dealer in New York City. The dealer didn't want negotiate the price. What dealer in New york ,New Jersey or close by did you go to? thanks

These cars are not sold for list price and any dealer not negotiating should be avoided like the plague.

The lease vs. buy is a lively and personal subject. It is very dependent on your individual situation and knowing how you will feel about the car three years later. On one hand, leasing can make sense if you know you will want a new car in three years or are concerned about the cars depreciation. On the other hand, Hyundai leases are usually not subsidized as with others (BMW, MB), so the lease factors are not optimal. The German cars are also leased because many do not want to own them outside of the warranty period.

Either way, you must negotiate the sales price as aggressively either way and also be very familiar with lease terms and rates as it is easy to be taken by apparent low payments. Personally, I think the Genesis is a buy - the cost to own outside of warranty is good, interest rates are low and this new model should hold its value and make for a long term car to own.

I agree if you don't get boared eaisly a buy is a home run! You can't beat the warranty and it is a beautiful, tech filled car at an amazing price!!! If you are alright with always having a payment you can have the benefit of always having a reasonably new car with tax write off if acceptable.

If you drive over 16000 miles a year then leasing can be expensive. The best way to purchase is to pay at least half down if you can't pay 100% cash, that way you are never upside down regarding financing.
