Fingerprints on stainless buttons and centerdash.

Hey guys,

On my 2025 GV70 I can't help but notice smudges left by fingers on the stainless surfaces. Does anyone have a quick way to remove said smudges or, better still, a way to prevent them aside from wearing gloves?

Microfiber towel with a little glass cleaner applied to it.

My dealership gave me some stainless steel polish when I bought the car...helps a bit but not a lot.

You can also get a carbon fibre overlay to cover it completely on Amazon/eBay.

Good quality microfiber cloth and DISTILLED water in a spray bottle does the trick.

Spray a very fine mist directly onto the microfiber cloth (DO NOT SPRAY DIRECTLY ONTO THE METALLIC PARTS).

Wipe all metallic surfaces with the lightly damp cloth.

Then use the DRY part of the cloth to dry off any residual water and voilà the fingerprints are gone, and it looks just like new.

I also always keep a microfiber cloth in my arm rest to immediately wipe away any fingerprints on the dashboard or metallic parts before they can set.

A touch of isopropyl alcohol mixed in the water will help it dry spot free also.
