I, LOVE, LOVE, LOVE my Genesis 3.8 black on black sedan. More than the 8 Caidllacs and 2 Lincolns I've owned in the past.
This was something that irked me. I leased my car in July through Hyundai Finance. The dealer told me I'd be getting notices and monthly bills for each payment.
I live in Philadelphia. On August 17th I came home from work at night to find a letter in my mailbox from Hyundai, postmarked August 12th in California, for my first payment which was due -- in California -- on August 18th. Unfortunately Superman lives in Metropolis and not Philadelphia and was not available to fly my payment to the accounts receivable department.
I telephoned Hyundai and they didn't seem to be phased about the timing of the letter, or when I pointed out that Hyundai was making me a "deadbeat" from day one. They did agree to "waive" the telephone payment processing fee and accept payment by my giving them my bank routing number and account number. How nice.
Just to be sure that I neve have to worry about a late fee or derogatory note on credit history (nothing in life today seems more important than protecting your credit score) I asked them to process several months worth of payments at one time.
Have any other lease customers experienced problems with late receipt of monthly statements?
