  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

First long drive

How can you manage to get so high MPS? Are you driving more on highways than city?
I drive mostly in city and my average MPG is only around 10,max 12 MPG, yes when I get on highway it increases up to 18-19. And I am not aggressive driver.
Of course I accelerate harder once in a while just to feel the power and have fun, but mostly I drive normally, and I have 3.8 compare to yours 5.0.
My tires are 3.3 cold, I use only premium fuel, and just passed 2000 mile mark as well. I don't use the Eco mode, just normal driving ,sometimes but not often I put in sports mode, but that's just for short time, I am just thinking what might cause that high gas usage and what to do to improve it.
In settings I marked that after each fill up the MPG resets, when I fill up it shows 420 miles , and I reset my trip mileage as well and at the end its different by 100-120 miles. That's strange

If you are getting 10-12 mpg in city driving, that is horrible. Something is wrong. I average 22 city/highway and when I do mostly city I am well in the high teens/low 20s (mostly highway is 27-28mpg at a steady 78). And I am anything but a conservative driver.

They pay to anyone who got those years cars owned, even if you don't own them anymore.

Who told you that?????? The mpg rewards program ends when you sell the car which was eligible for the reimbursement.

22 in city??? Wow ,never seen those numbers in my odometer, I am getting that on highway, recently I didn't do a lot of driving , just short trips 3-4 miles the most, that's for a week, but before that I wouldn't say it was much higher, may be 16 the highest.
I will see tomorrow have to drive a lot, and if it's not improved, then something is wrong. Just can't think of what it might be.

I am getting 18-19 in city driving too. 10-12 is definitely on the lower side.

I guess something wrong with the average MPG main odometer, it's stocked at 11.9 and doesn't change, I even put Eco mode it added 0.1 MPG, I did a lot short trips in city 3-4 miles and when I turn off engine, odometer shows for short time distance driven and MPG, mostly was close to your readings 17.8 , 18.9 around 16-18 , just wondering what would cause it, my odometer working fine, just the MPG doesn't change. I think I will reset tomorrow by refueling, and see what happens then.

Reset the trip meters as well and do a manual calculation.

You do no there is a selectable option in the menu to automatically reset the MPG calculator every time you refill right? ;)

A little hard to follow what you are saying. Have you EVER reset your MPG figure? If not, it is VERY hard to get the MPG to move if you have a ton of miles. 11.9 is awfully low but I suspect if idle a lot or do a ton or stop and go, it could be that low. However, there is something amiss here...

Yes, I did reset, it's actually marked to rest after each refueling , it is pretty much stop and go, and hot, especially now we have a lot of traffic, because winter, and a lot of people come to FL.
What I said was the average MPG what's stays on on your odometer, stuck to 11.8 MPG, but when you turn off the car, for a short moment odometer shows the trip you just made driven miles and MPG, and it's all the time higher than the average , it shows around 16-18 MPG

I did a 2 hour road trip and kept speed between 65-70mph and averaged 32 mpg 3.8 rwd ultimate. I really love this car.

A picture is worth a thousand words. Any chance you can take a picture? Not sure why it would be 'stuck'

Reset it by pushing the OK on the driver's info control while the MPG is displayed.

It does not change , same number for a week , just did the reset this evening , by pushing the ok button. I did have chance to drive with the new reset yet. But I realize that it's two settings for the MPG, one what shows the average and as I did press and hold twice repeatedly, the second time after I released it started to show immediate MPG , like the line below the numbers, only the MPG was repeating the line in numbers, does anyone had try that and got the same?

This is hard to understand - as I said, take a picture and post it.
