  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
    If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

First post after 2015 5.0 purchase.

Have Pirelli P-Zero Plus on my 5.0....have been driving on them for almost four months now and like them;

I will need to decide how I want to mount winter tires though this fall; looked at the option of 18 inch wheels and am having a difficult time finding wheels that are confirmed by web site seller to have sufficient clearance for the bigger brake rotors that our 5.0's have;

I may just decide to just go with 19 inch winters despite the $1800 cost :( we'll see.....

My tire guy always does me right on pricing - when I swapped out my 18" oems to the 19s with the Michellin tires it was $1000 installed all in. I just supplied the wheels.

Bought a 2015 5.0, Empire State Blue/ black interior. 40k miles and really a clean great running car. My previous car was a 2003 BMW M5 so I wanted to get an good sized sedan with gobs of power. The Genesis really fits the bill, not as quick off the line as the M5 but definitely comparable on the highway. Feather the pedal and the car just moves. Got what I think is a great price @ 21k but I think they thought the head unit was broken. Nav didn't work and a phone would pair and make calls but nothing could be heard on either end of the conversation. There wasn't an SD card in it, Bought the latest map/ software update and everything works great. Looked at a bunch of cars and this one is really clean with a motor that is really quiet. Looked at some 3.8 and 5.0 cars that rattled horribly on startup. Really happy with the car and thought I would introduce myself. I live in the Dfw area btw. Lee
At least you've got a dipstick now. 😁(As opposed to newer BMW's)

Looks great, congrats! I'm running G90 turbine wheels on a black 5.0, really dig the look.

I bought a 19" full size spare aluminum wheel for my Genesis. It isn't bad looking. It was a little over $300 including the tire. Since this is a spare, I was focusing on price, not the specific tire or wheel. The wheel/tire fits in the spare tire compartment, but I did have to modify the foam piece that holds the jack. This wheel could be used for snow tires. I bought it at discount tire. I don't have a picture and don't want to remove it from the trunk right now to get one. It requires different lug nuts (the lug nut seat was different). I also bought a hose to connect to the tire valve so I can check the air in the tire without removing the tire from the trunk.

Hi guys, new owner of 2016 5.0 as well..Mine had a set of Yokohama Advan Sport A/S on it. Thought that they just ok, but really quiet..Went and had a set of Michellin Pilot Sport A/S 3+ put on, and honestly, i hate them on this car. ( I had them on my 2012 base and my 2013 G37 and thought that they where great) but this set is noisy, and just dont feel right. Went back, traded for another set of Yokohama Advan Sport A/S and the cars smooth and quiet again...werid

Did you end up going with 18" or 19" wheels for winter? I'm in the process of buying 18" wheels for my first winter with the 5.0
Anxious as to whether they will fit. I've not been able to find good evidence one way or the other on the webs.

I stayed with the original 19" wheels and changed Pirelli tires out for Kumho winters Wintercraft WP72; also kept the staggered setup. I'll be getting TSW wheels in the spring.
