  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

A couple of weeks ago, I noticed that trunk release button on driver's door was not working.
I am not sure if it ever worked since I had never used it for 2 years.
I came in for oil change last week and mentioned the trunk release button didn't work.
They said the switch was defect and ordered the parts.
This morning they fixed it and it's working now. This never bothered me since I did not use it but glad it's fixed and got free car wash.

In the 2 years did you use the key or key fob for the trunk. We use the door button for the trunk almost dailey and use the outside little black button to lock and unlock the doors on exit and entering.

I used the outside button to unlock. I don't think I pressed any button to lock the trunk. I just press the button on door handle. Rarely use buttons in key fob.
