  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

first test drive (disapointed)

"Hey I think the guy who heard road noise needs to get his ears checked...LoL... i have had mine since july 30, 2008 and already i have put over 3,200 miles on it.... There is virtually no sound in the cabin..."

The 3.8 I drove was very quiet on good roads. Noise increased significantly on bad roads, such as I live on. I am not sure the car is unusually noisy on rough roads, but the contrast to its smooth road silence is greater than my daily experience with two other cars, our large Cadillac and a medium sized import. The Cadillac seems quieter on rough roads than the Genesis. Overall, I was impressed by the Genesis and would buy one if the V8 were readily available and if local dealers would abandon their absurd markups.
