  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Bought my 2013 3.8 Genesis in 2017 with 36K. The car is near 100k and other than new tires, regular oil changes and new air and cabin filters nothing else has been done to the car. Will be getting services done like new plugs, tranny service, diff service, and brake pads shortly. Recently though for the first time I took it back to the dealership for a noise driver seat track and a broken rear sunshade. My extended warranty I purchased when I got the car covered both repairs. Instead of paying almost $4000 for parts and labor I payed $100.:) This is a great car and plan on keeping it for several more years at least.

I know what you mean. The extended warranty on my ‘12 3.8 lasts till 2024. At the moment it has about 45,000 mi on the odo. My rear sunshade motor was replaced but cost me $ 0 because the warranty has a “disappearing” co-payment.
