  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

First time using 87 unleaded, I just had about 30% of fuel left after trip. I'm getting 0% fuel notification.

I'm not sure if this is related to using non premium fuel for the first time, I decided to try 87 grade to see if I get any performance or mileage difference.

I've been driving for a few days and I honestly haven't even noticed any difference in performance nor mileage.

I just drove to work and I had about 30% of the tank left, about 2 mins after I turned off the engine I got a low fuel notification,

I checked the app and it's saying I have 0% fuel. I haven't had the chance to check on the vehicle yet but I'm wondering if anyone has had this happen before. I have a 2022 G70 3.3 engine.

The fuel meter in the car is analog right? It measures the physical fuel level regardless of what grade it is I'm assuming?

I remote started the car and stopped it, it's back to normal now, not sure why that happened.

Fuel octane won't have anything to do with level. Maybe you were parked on a slope when it showed low fuel?

It was a glitch I think, after remote starting it's back to normal again.

Any issues running lower octane fuel? I'm old school and always put higher octane fuel in forced induction cars. But the way I drive, my G70 is always thirsty. Was thinking of trying mid grade fuel next to see if I notice any degradation in performance and fuel economy.

I use premium, not for the higher octane, but for the extra cleaners in the fuel.
95% Shell
4% Chevron
1% Mobil
Never do I use “Generic Gas”.

If you want to try lower octane, don’t work down to 89 then 87.
Go all the way down to 87 then work your way up to 89.
