  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Hello all I have a 2015 Hyundai Genesis and I wanted to know if the g80 headlights fit our cars without any modifications whatsoever. Since the factory xenon just isn't doing it for me plus I want the led DRL not the dim one that comes stock on the car. And I like how the turn signal is also in the DRL led as well

Thank you

They will physically fit. However, there are wiring and/or BCM changes that would be needed to get the LED DRLs to function properly. There are a couple of threads that go into detail. Try searching for terms like LED DRL and KDM headlight (a couple of people have installed the KDM LED headlights, which are similar to the G80 LED headlights).

Thank you friends for the replies I really appreciate it and was hoping they fit and spending almost 3 grand just want to make sure everything aligns up before purchasing

Personally, I would just buy a new car if it was that important. In the long run, it may be cheaper.

I believe I seen a user on here saying they installed the g80 headlights but I can't seem to find the user I was browsing past and forgot to take down his name so I can plan. If you have any info on the user please let me know

Here are a couple of links to some pretty long and detailed threads:

There's a lot of information here, and some of it gets repeated, but I recommend reading through all of it. There may be a couple more threads, especially on the topic of the turn signals, that I didn't find with my quick search.

Just so you're aware of the differences between countries and years:

  • The 2015 US spec version is the only one that didn't get the LED DRLs. As far as I know, all international versions (including Canada), as well as the 2016 US version, got the LED DRLs. This is why the LED DRLs on your 2015 US-spec car won't work with just a headlight change.
  • The US version did not get the active corner illumination (headlights that swivel while you turn). As far as I know, there's no easy way to enable it on your car even if the headlight housings have the ability.
Edit: The links above talk about the KDM LED headlights. I don't know if there are any significant differences between the KDM LED headlights and the US-spec G80 LED headlights besides the copper-colored trim pieces for the G80 Sport.
