Flaky Electronic Parking Brake

Sometimes when I apply the electronic parking brake it doesn't work. The yellow EPB warning light illuminates and the red brake warning light flashes. Has anyone else had this problem?

Sometimes when I turn the car off and turn it back on it will work but most times this doesn't work. If I park on a big incline I want my brake to work. I will take it to the dealer but I am concerned that it will not act up when they have it. So they will not attempt to fix it.
 
Depending on the frequency of failure, maybe you can attempt to predict when best to stop by the dealer. Regardless, there may be a diagnostic error code the dealer can pull up to troubleshoot the problem. Good luck.

This has happened to me on occasion. Got to the point where I literally stopped using it.
