Flex Pipe - Another hole

2009 Genesis 3.8L Tech. So last year the flex pipe formed a hole, and it sounded like I was driving around a helicopter. I had it fixed at a local auto shop and all was well. Now a few days ago it happened again, and they are telling me it's the flex on the other side... wtf?! Is this common??

How many miles??….I had a 10 year old Elantra with 140,000 miles that did it too.
