  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

I was told by my service agent that Hyundai is working on a new drive shaft for the 2015-2016 Genesis to address this issue since it is so common. Make sure you have an open case with customer service and they will contact you When/if it becomes available.

Thanks. Could be a recall?

Per my dealer I'm the only other person to ever complain about this and it's all in my head! I hope this is true though as they keep making adjustments to my car but it hasn't been the smooth ride that I bought for some time now.

That would be great if it were a recall. The flutter drives me nuts.

Many members have had this fix done, including me. It did eliminate the flutter sound, but was replaced by a more pronounced vibration at 28 mph; this goes away after about 10 minutes of driving. Other things tried included a force balance of the tires, insertion of a shim (washers), repeated replacement of the drive shaft assembly, and replacement or shaving of the tires. None of these efforts have been completely successful.

It's all in your head. That's funny. Makes you want to punch the service guy right in the mouth. Obviously if you get on the internet and do a little research you can see how prevalent this is. The real problem if Hyundai not addressing the issue.
