  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

The forward sensors on my 2013 Genesis 3.8 sedan are sounding spontaneously as soon as I start the car, and frequently while driving when no vehicles are close to the front of the car. I get the little blip sounds as well as the yellow light coming on in the dash display as if I was a few feet from another car. This continues to happen even with the front proximity toggle switch turned OFF! Is this a fuse problem or other short-circuit issue? I have cleaned the sensors outside and it still happens.
I'm at a loss. Please help if you can.

How long has this been going on?
I can’t see how this could be a fuse issue. Likewise for a short since it happens even before there is any movement. Others may say differently but unless you can figure out where that is no help. Could be a defective sensor. I’m afraid it make take a dealer to diagnose. Since it happens all the time it might be easy to figure out the problem.

This has been happening intermittently, starting about a month ago. When I start the car these past couple of days, I hear a little "bink, bink, bink" sound and the light appears in the small monitor. After that it only happens occasionally while driving about, but often without any vehicles nearby. The dash switch is OFF at all times and it still happens. I will take it to the dealer in Delray Beach on Tuesday if it persists.

Don’t know if you resolved the issue but I had the same thing. It cost me $400 at the dealership. Delt with it as long as I could then realized I had 3 total which is $1200 in sensors luckily it was just one and got fixed

I'm hoping to avoid that as the problem persists - although intermittently, but even without any object around for hundreds of feet. My wife saw a YouTube fix by adjusting the sensor sittings from within the body shell, but I haven't tried that yet. Will advise if I find anything. Thanks for your reply
