I am out of a better idea insofar as killing a nascent dealer network by moving the goal posts and withholding product. It's brilliant.

They are a little off regarding the stand alone requirement. It was announced last September that having a standalone store was no longer needed for a franchise.

"Genesis would like dealers that stick with the brand to set up stand-alone showrooms, but it is not required and not all are expected to make the investment. Raphael says the first dedicated stores should begin to appear within a couple of years."
