Front bumper sensors

One thing I noticed is that, after the bumper conversion to g80 sport the front sensors are much higher thus harder it seems to detect the tall curbs while parking. I notice myself parking like a foot away from a parking crub.

Now that you said something i did noticed that the G80 sport bumper looks like it sits higher off the ground then my 2015 bumper..

No it is the same height as the normal bumper. The sensors sit higher the two middle ones.

The Genesis sits real low so be careful when parking as you approach the concrete barrier. It is easy to have the front bumper go over the barrier and then scrape as you back out. This caused my fender liner (around the tire well) to come lose, which is about a $300 repair.

Yea, I make very clear instructions when I let people drive to either back in or stay far far away from the crub.

So glad I found this page. I thought there was something wrong with my sensors...sometimes they worked and sometimes they didn't. When they weren't working, I could get them to temporarily trigger by putting the car into reverse and then back into drive. It never occurred to me to check the button. I just did and it was off; I must be accidentally hitting it, which would explain the intermittent behavior (hopefully). BTW, on my 2016, to add the other comment about the heated steering wheel, mine stays on through ignition on/off cycles. It's on a timer, so it'll stay on until that timer runs out. I live in NY, and I greatly appreciate it coming on when I remote start the car during the winter months. I wish the heated seats would do the same.
