  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
    If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Although I myself have not removed the front grill, I do know that some on this forum have done so. With that said;

1. The Hydrogen Unit will void your warranty.

2. No matter what the pro hydrogen people tell you, sell you, or instruct you on making the unit, it will not increase your gas milage. Those who have done the conversion (on cars out of warranty) sure will tell you how great their milage improved, but think. What else would they say. Would they say that they spent the money to do the conversion and it did not do a thing? They don't want to look foolish, so they come up with fantastic milage claims for the hydrogen unit. I know a guy who tells me this all the time, how his gas milage doubled. (He is still buying as much gas as he always has, plus his engine compartment is full of hoses, tubes, bottles, valves, etc. etc. etc. and looks like hell).

I'm talking about the units that have electrodes in water, that remove the hydrogen from the water, and the hydrogen gets sucked into the engine, giving more power.

If it really worked, the car manufacturers would install it at the factory.
Just another example of Snake Oil or Mouse Milk.

Did I say that it will void your warranty, which is the best in the business?

Hi Bob,thanks for your input,but i beg to differ to your take on hydrogen convertions.I installed a unit last april and after a short time adjusting the EFIE my milage improved from 22 city-29 hyw to 33 city 53 hyw.To test this i drove a 100mile loop including city freeway and mountains.I did ths route 5 times with differant poeple on board to watch the resaults,one trip i had 5 adaults on board and got the same milage.
The reason i wanted to remove grill is because i have a new unit to try which is a bit larger and that looks like an ideal place to install it.
Thanks
Roger

With a hydrogen tank in the front impact area, the car would not pass a safety inspection any longer and you may be jeopardizing your insurance. I understand what you want to do but I think your placement choice needs to be thought out a little better.
