  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Front license plate bracket

After reading through this forum I decided to try out the Craven Platypus plate mount. I can't say I'm diggin'it all that much... In order to get it mounted initially I had to bend the mounting tab, which Craven actually says is necessary in some cases, so not a big deal. But, one of the sensors still detected the plate whenever I put the car in drive or reverse. Craven said to try and push the plate as close to the bumper or angle it in order to avoid being in the sensor "cone" of view. See the attached photo - I'm a little OCD with the aesthetics, so the angle is bugging me. I just ordered the OE plate mount, will report back once I get it.

Looking to update and upgrade your Genesis luxury sport automobile? Look no further than right here in our own forum store - where orders are shipped immediately!
I’ve been driving without front plates for nearly 1.5yrs but dinged by a state trooper (Texas) for not having front places when pulled over recently.

Then, another trooper heading the other way, pulled around and pulled me over specifically for not having front plates in the last few weeks.

it seems state troopers are the only ones that care about plate presence and they’re keen on enforcing it (they didn’t seem satisfied with the idea of putting up plates in the window, as it didn’t satisfy the legal requirement)

So I’m researching options to get a front bracket now to ruin the look of the car :[

@jdubs looking forward to seeing pics of the front mount. I’ve asked my dealer to provide ‘em, to comply with state law.
