  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Double-sided 3M tape would do the trick:D

Funny you raise this...

I went 11 months without one before getting nailed at the train station parking lot last week. There was a 5 day grace period to "prove" compliance and avoid the fine, so I took the plate holder and bolts that came with the car to the dealer for installation. The job took 10 minutes, and the results actually look better than I expected.

The real benefit is being able to drive past cops without worrying about getting a ticket. Who knew?

My dealer in NJ provided an adapter for the front license plate, painted in the same color as the car, and nicely curved to go over the bumper. I believe it is standard equipment.

Looking to update and upgrade your Genesis luxury sport automobile? Look no further than right here in our own forum store - where orders are shipped immediately!
Do you mean that your car didn't come with a front license plate adapter? I'm in SC and there's no such requirement, but the adapter was in the trunk with the spare. I guess I don't know if it required drilled holes or not, but the adapter appears to be standard equipment.

Same for me in NJ. It looks fine. It must be a standard thing because my car was a dealer trade from PA and they don't require front plates.

I just bought a used Genesis from an owner who had the front license plate on and now the front bumper has holes in it. Does anyone know if or where you can buy a euro style license plate holder for the Genesis? I'd like to hide the holes and make the bumper look more finished.

Do you want to just cover the holes completely? You have a couple options from plugging the bumper and repainting to caps you can plug in that are body-painted.

I have holes in my bumper from the license plate holder with an additional set of holes from the license plate. The screws that were used to hold the plate to the holder went through all the way to the bumper.

So I have 4 holes, each of different sizes. If I could get a longer rectangular holder like the euro style it would hide them all. Or I could just paint the screws white and keep them in the holes as they are currently. I might go that route... it would be cheaper.
